STAG – Summer Tournament & Games

STAG Event

Come all Ye Gentles, and join us in beautiful Glenwood Springs, CO. for fun and frivolity. STAG (Summer Tournament and Games) is a one-day prize tournament and feast for all things A.D. 1066. 

The tournament will include heavy fighting with alternative weapons styles, trivia (Vikings, Saxons, & Normands oh my!), and the Wheel of Misfortune! There will be arts & science. 

I hear tell that fencers may appear to take part in our Summer
Tournament and Games! With that in mind, we will be holding a Pine Box
Tournament to test the defense of all practitioners of the Arte.
“But, Baron Ian! What’s a Pine Box Tournament,” you say? WELL.
This is a single-elimination, wounds-retained, first blood tournament…
and the only way out is in a pine box. It’s fun, fast-paced, and rewards
the fencer who remembers that we study the Arte of DEFENSE. Depending on
time and attendance, we might run it more than once, and there will
likely be ample time for pick-ups as well.

 

Prizes

The Grand Prize is tickets for two from Denver to Pittsburgh for Pensic 2019.

Second and Third Prize are sure to please.

 

Prices

$25 per person with a $40 family cap and additional $5 discount for members, this includes entrance and the feast. (Site is Discreetly Wet)

 

Other Information

Please bring your day shades. However, no tent spikes are allowed on-site. 

The site is discreetly wet, but no glass containers are allowed.

Coming from Denver:

Take I-70 West to Glenwood Springs Exit 116 (HWY 82), go south over bridge, at base of bridge take immediate right onto 8th Street, then take left onto Midland Avenue (heading south), go 3 miles south on Midland Avenue then left on Mt. Sopris Lane. The park is 200 yards east of the elementary school on the left.

 

Coming from Grand Junction:
